 STARTING YOUR JOURNEY

My journey with Southeast Community Services >

I always wanted to take ELL classes but never found the time before I found Southeast Community Services. I started taking ELL classes on site every week and began meeting with my Financial Coach. We looked at my budget and made changes that allowed me to pay my bills while cutting hours to focus on ELL classes. As my English improved I started meeting with my Career Coach to find a higher paying job. After nine months of working with the team at SECS I have completed my ELL classes, obtained full-time employment, and received further technical training. I still meet with my coaches to continue to achieve my goals.

When you are ready to begin your journey, Southeast Community Services is here to help. Taking action to reach your goals can be overwhelming, so here is what you can expect from your experience working with the coaches at Southeast Community Services:

  • Our offices are a judgement-free zone. We work with all our neighbors regardless of background. We are open-minded and ready to work with you to meet your education, employment, and financial goals following the path you create.

  • Working with our coaches is a team experience. You and your coaches work together to fulfill your objectives. Give us a call, fill out an interest form, or just stop by the office to set up a meeting with one of our coaches.

  • Our staff is supportive and flexible. We understand that sometimes your schedule and commitments don't allow you to come to our offices during the day. Our coaches can schedule meetings after 5 p.m. to accommodate your schedule or even meet you during your lunch hour to make sure you have the support you need to work towards your goals.
